1Find a place with grass. Grass is the best place to roll in as it is forgiving and you won't hurt yourself starting out.Ad

2For this tutorial, the roll will be done over the left shoulder.

3Stand with your left foot slightly forward and right foot slightly back.

4From here crouch and place your hands on the ground in front of you with your right hand in front of your left hand. Lean forward.

5Allow the forearm to fall onto to the ground. This should stop you falling and hurting your shoulder which is a common mistake.

6From here push with the left leg to give yourself momentum. Roll over the left arm and onto your shoulder. This should be a diagonal movement across your back. Do not let your head touch the ground.

7You should be able to use your momentum to get up and continue running along.Ad
